Margherita Zorgno

For the past years Margherita Zorgno has been working on the EU co-funded Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership under the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research, contributing to its coordination in the alignment of research, policy, and innovation in the blue economy across Europe. With a background in marine ecology and resources management (Wageningen University, The Netherlands), she has been involved in international initiatives on ocean literacy, science communication and marine conservation, with a focus on the impact of marine litter from fisheries and aquaculture.
