Emanuele Forte is Research Assistant of Applied Geophysics of the Exploration Geophysics Group at the University of Trieste. He is been carrying out funded research in the field of geophysical exploration with applications to geological (crustal and near surface studies), environmental (liquid contaminants, glaciology and hydrogeology), geotechnical (characterization of soils and rock masses) and archaeological studies.
His main research interests are in the field of Ground Penetrating Radar data processing, inversion and interpretation and reflection seismic. He leaded  several research projects since 2003; He is  author of more than 50 publications on international journals.
